keep disconnecting during races

Hi all, i'm writing here because i'm having an annoying problem...  when i'm doing a race it often disconnect me, saying "connection lost" and kicking me back to the start screen, i get this error after a bit.. 3-4 races more or less, everytime losing the race i was doing and the exp i was going to get... anyone can help me please? thanks.

Hi blackshadows. So as I understand it just logs you out of the game right? Is it possible that your connection has some problem and disconnects for a few seconds from time to time? have you ever experienced this kind of behavior in your daily activity?

Try to run a tracert. Go to Start-> type cmd and push enter. Once in the command prompt you should type "tracert www.google.com". Please post the results here.

Anyway it could be worth having a look at your logs. When the disconnection happens, exit the game, go  to Victory's folder, save the client.log and numen.log and send them to the support.

it happened again 2 times today, with 1 hour of difference more or less from a disconnection to another, it doesn't bring me to the login window but to the "garage" panel, where you see your car... i've sended the files you said as well and at the moment im doing the tracert with cmd

Let's wait for the devs to have a look at them. The tracert is showing some problems though. What kind of internet connection are you using? Are you connected via wi-fi?

this is the cmd log

yes i use wifi, i'm 4-5 meters far from router, but i dont think this is a problem

If you can make a test session connected via cable, I'd give it a shot, just to be sure it's not something related to the wifi.

at the moment i cant do that test, i'll try when i'll be able

Hi Blackshadows,

we got your logs and we are investigating about your issue: getting back to u with some usefull info as soon as we understand what it may be.

Thank you for reporting it.

First question, please: does the disconnection happen on every kind of servers, like dedicated ones and/or servers created by the users?

Alessandra Pollini - QA

yeah it happens on every kind of server, and if you want to know i have this problem with my ps3 while playing gran turismo 5 and assassin's creed 3 multiplayer... but i don't really know how to solve this problem.

how to setup it correctly then? can you help me?

Well Blackshadows, this is a clear evidence that is not a Victory's problem, but your own one. :p

Try to disable the NAT/Firewall in your router and let me know if that works.

how can i disable it? i don't know how to do it..

Hmm, it may depend from the router you have, but in general you should go to the router panel by browser and look for the nat and/or firewall functionalities in the configuration panel and then disable them.

Alessandra Pollini - QA

the firewall seems to be disabled, but i can't find the nat page, from what i've seen on my ps3 i have a type 2 NAT..

Turning NAT off will probably result in nothing working.  With NAT disabled, you have to setup your PC to get the internet address from your ISP rather than your router getting it for you.  You'll have to read the manual for your router to set it up to run without NAT.

Be aware that your PC is then directly connected to the internet - any incoming connection attempts on any port will not be dropped by the router, your PC will have to deal with them.  Make sure you have every security patch installed.

nothing happened, i still have the disconnection problem.

I think you should really try to use the cable instead of the wifi (unless you already made this test and the problem still remained). Don't you have a ethernet cable at hand?

Since you are having this problem with other games and on other platforms as well, everything suggests it's the connection the main issue and not Victory.

i tried using a pc with cable instead of wifi, and it seems to work, but the problem is i can't play with a cable, i can only play with wifi...

How many different wifi networks can you see?  Your location may be congested in the 2.4ghz band.  If your computer and access point support the 5ghz band (the "a" type wireless, b/g/n are normally in the 2.4ghz band), try forcing them to use that.
