FourPrice could you be more detailed, I can't understand what you wrote because I'm italian maybe. What must make an aggressive contact? What Sandbagging stands for?
Another problem is that many racers say I always start before them. My seconds counting starts with my car but I don't know if the game considers the timing or the arrive order for the placements. That's annoying cause it seems I cheat and I don't want to be advantaged by that.
I saw that yesterday night, i raced against you and in fact you started before us and your ping was incredibly variable (up to 2344324, more or less). I don't know what causes this, although the devs are working in it i suppose :D
i have seen people starting 3 seconds before the race, not sure if it was you Piero, or someone else.
the "3 second headstart bug" seems to consistently affect the same player, making them set off while everybody else's counter is still timing down to the start. (looks like the same amount of time, and the same player affected each time)
Anyway at the start I now wait to see the GO text before touching any key... that seems to force the system to wait for the "GO" before the stopwatch starts counting and I can start in sync with the other racers, otherwise the stopwatch starts counting few seconds before the "GO".
I have the same problem with the 60 second idle message but mt game also goes really really really jumpy and lagging at the same time. Sometimes its just jumpy and laggy without the message. Cant wait fdor this to get fixed... i cant race in all of this lag.
The only time I've seen the 60 seconds like that is when there was a huge amount of errors being thrown to the logs (for anyone at VV, that was the sound error on the test server - ticket 66). Perhaps excessive/slow disk writes affect the timer?
Send in your log files again. The more information, the better.
it seems you resolved this annoying bug even doing nothing... lol... because I tried with all the programs I usually use running, even with those 2 I told you, and it works actually. I'll write here for news.
I'm having again the old problems... it could depend by my connection but if I check my ping with speedtest.net it says it's around 45. I can't understand my problem with your servers. This drives me mad... lol.
Ok. Netxt time i'll send you the files. But meanwhile i've installed other games on xp sp3 partition, one of this make some software install, something like "microsoft .NET framework". Then i'll make two race in two distinct session of game and everythig goes better. The race goes fine. The game client crash when i exit session (both tmes), but for the race everything alright.
I have open in the control panel the list of installed application (sorry but i havent do it before) and find a list of "microsft .net framework" and i can't say wich was previously installed and wich not. Now i have 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 version installed.
Here i am again. I have send just now the numen.log & client.log to support. I have tried to launch the game from w7 ultimate 32b version. At first try i have the 60 second afk disqualified issue. My experience was this, i try the games in 3 partition. Two of this was new, i have formatted the disk partition, installed hardware driver (graphic card, lan, audio and so on). And the game won't work (60 sec afk). The third partition was "aged" there are many software & games installed , in fact i call this one "the trash partition" where i try every software, office application , use the other partition to play "professionally", only games and software neded to play like teamspeak. And in this third partition (the trash) the games goes fine. So my conclusion was that in victory installation something is missed. But its something shared with other software, so if other games (i suppose games but i'm not sure maybe other generic software) had installed this piece of software , victory goes alright. If victory is the first software installed it don't work. In addition, like i post before, in the partition where before victory doesent work, after i've installed some other games , even victory start to run fine. I hope this can help you and other like pieropeluche. Regards.
Thanks, this is very useful! Probably you're right about the installation missing something, since most games (and programs) share the same libraries like Visual Basic, .NET framework, directX and so on.. maybe this can help the devs!
I just installed .net 1.1 the only one missing in my list, but it seems that nothing changes.
I don't think it's a problem related to .net. Few times I had no problems racing with the same pc where I'm immediately disqualified. So I think it's not related to missing libraries but I hope you can continue using the game from the working partition.
Let us know if it continues working. Thanks for the infos and your support.
I noticed that I had problems with an update from windows update regarding the .net framework v1.1. It tries to installs the patch but it encounters problems. I previously had problems trying to install .net framework v4.0. I still use windows XP. Maybe tassolo68 and M3Honsho were right supposing a problem with libraries. Check this, please.
Yes, it seems the bug is gone with this last patch, even if some racers told me I show a 0 ping time near my name tag. The incorrect start is somehow fixed but it makes me often start a bit later than the opponents (not a really annoying problem).
Maybe it's not the firewall cause stopping it changes nothing.
Let me know.

Hi PieroPeluche,
your problem is not related at any port or firewall.
Is a bug that the race servers have at moment and players with bad connection-high latency experience more frequently.
We will fix it soon.
Thx!

At this moment nobody else seems to have the same problem.
Please correct this bug.

Then maybe is something on your side? It's kinda strange since other people who had problems now have the game working..
It's possible there's something wrong on my side, but I should know what to correct.

(I dont get disqualified in the end)
Now I see 60 seconds to disqualify and then the game suddenly crashes. Is this a progress? I hope so. :-)

I just sent all the last log files I found in Victory's directory. I hope to have news or suggestions.

I have the same problem, 30 try, only 2 times i run a race. All the other i start , drive for 5/10 second then 60 second afk disqualified.
I try the game under two operating system, xp sp3 and w7 ultimate 32 bit. But have the same problem.
I will try tomorrow to see if its something realted to my connection, but with other games i had no problem of lag/high ping.
Piero sono con te !!
:( so annoying bug and so hard to find what's your problems, guys....
Please, Tassolo, send the logs to the Support, when you get disqualified again. Thx.
