Repair Car

Hi!

 

When u finish a race the screen shows the credits being received for completing that race and, on the right side, some bars indicate the status of our car`s parts. In those bars, i have items between 60% and 80%

How can i fix those?

Before every race you are able to buy attribute repairs and buffs:

">0" repairs that particular attibute and the various "+1", "+2" etc. give you a bonus to that attribute that lasts a race and repairs it.

So, in practice, if your car has 10 in the power attribute and you have a power degradation of -2, you can race the next race with 8 in power or you can buy a "Power >0" to bring it back to 10 or you can buy a Power +3 buff and have 13 in power for a race and then 10 until it degradates again.

You also can buy buffs packs in the market in the widget section or win them for example by unlocking achievements. If you find yourself buying buffs often, go buy some packs as they are way cheaper than buying them one-by-one before each race ;)

The little number on black under each buff is the quantity of that buff you have in your inventory.

I was looking and the widgets in the market but I don't understand what's the difference between a buff POW 0 (10) with the others (20) (50), apart from the cost.

I admit I never looked into buffs too much so I'm a noob here. I noticed for example that restoring my car to normal status after some degradation, takes me some money (not much actually). But if I buff everything +3 I get it for free. 

The number in parentheses is the quantity of that repair/buff you get. Presumably the reason you can buff to +3 for "free" is that you have +3 buffs stored up (from buying them in the shop or from achievements).

Ok, but what exactly makes them better? They both restore your car to 0.

If you buy the (10) you can use it 10 times, the (20) is 20 times, etc...

+1,2,3,4,5 widgets boost the car's stats for the same amount of pp. For instance, if you have 15 pp and use a +5 pow widget, on the next race your car will have 20 POW; they ALSO repair the car, that's the difference. OFC, the bonus drops after one race and the costs are increasing. You are not paying for +3 because achievements give a lot of widgets (i have a lot too).

Also for Matrix: don't repair when it's not written "-1" on a stat, because is useless: deterioration starts to be important from that point. Also, is not necessary to instantly repair when you reach -1, it depends on your opponents.. is like having just a malus on PP!

Ok but do you have any idea about the quality of the widget? POW 0 (20) and POW 0 (50) look exactly the same to me. 

It's not the quality, it's only different quantity! You can buy 20 or 50 widgets to use in race, of course the more you buy in a block the less you spend per widget (for example, a widget costs 100, 10 widgets cost 800 - so 80 per widg, and 50 widg cost 3000 with 60 cost per widget). In race you can only buy one at a time, so you spend more.

Ah, ok. Those are packets then! You can buy packets of widgets to use during races.

Is it because of "degradation" that I occasionally lose rev power during a race?  My regularity would still be ok 90 or above.  I believe the game is still recognizing my Xbox 360 controller as the tachometer remains as opposed to lowers but power sounds and is decreased until I left of the gas and get back on it.  If so, how exactly to I repair degradation? Is it done before race on left side of buff screen?  Any help would be appreciated.

Basically the 0 widgets (repair car degradation) The +1 2 3 4 5 widgets give EXTRA power and repair in that given race. I use repair when I have 2 notches of degradation, and these are applied BEFORE the race:D
